Comments pitched sideways on Pirelli tires continue to flow. This time McLaren driver, Lewis Hamilton, who returned to Formula 1 and will debut in the 2011 season to give its response on these tires.
In fact, the boss of McLaren, Martin Whitmarsh, was trying to calm ripples of the tires on the eve of the last pre-season training in Barcelona, 8-12 March. However, it seems difficult to stem the discontent of the rider.
Previously, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Jarno Trulli and Adrian Sutil have suggested Pirelli sided weakness, especially supersoft almost no resistance. Now it was Hamilton who is very confident that Bridgestone's F1 frustrated with the decision to step down. He admits, Pirelli will make F1 becomes very slow.
"A lot of things to think about the car, but F1 seems to be getting slower," said Hamilton told British newspaper the Guardian. "Many cars slowed down to take a course in distance races. Last year we had to make the tires last fuel load that is heavier and now even more slowly. I experienced those days and slow. Honestly, it's not interesting, "he said.
Hamilton emphasizes the problem of resistance tires, as well as delivered its rivals. This 2008 world champion complained of feeling what it can give effect on the quality of the 2011 season races.
"The first time I do not think the run-to-tire menggebernya has expired after nine laps reach the canvas," he said. "In the next experiment, I should be more relaxed. Apparently, I did almost a lap and just make it 15 or 16 with soft tires. Over the years, you have to change the style and adaptation, but continued to maintain an important part, namely the speed and aggressiveness. Now, the biggest step is how we should look at the tire, "Hamilton said.
